The ACM conference on Designing Interactive Systems is one of the top ranking international conferences on Human Computer Interaction. The Department of Media of Aalto ARTS is well represented at this year’s conference, which will be held in Newcastle, UK, from June 11th to 15th:
- Researcher and doctoral candidate Joanna Saad-Sulonen will present the following full paper co-written with Andrea Botero (Aalto ARTS / Department of Media) and Kari Kuutti (Oulu University): A long-term strategy for designing (in) the wild: lessons from the Urban Mediator and traffic planning in Helsinki.
- Post-doc Till Boverman will present a demo of The Weather at your Fingertips: An Auditory Augmentation Application, with René Tünnermann and Thomas Hermann (http://tai-studio.org)
- Post-doc Koray Tahiroglu is organizing a workshop on Designing Musical Interactions for Mobile Systems (http://sopi.media.taik.fi/mobilemusic/) together with Atau Tanaka, Adam Parkinson and Stephen Gibson. The workshop will be held on 12.06 at Culture Lab Newcastle.
