The SRA-E 2021 conference is offered as a virtual meeting.

If you registered for the conference already in 2020, your registration will automatically remain valid for the 2021 conference. If you do not intend to attend the 2021 conference and would like to get a refund at this stage, please contact the conference secretary Mary-Ann Alfthan (mary-ann.alfthan@aalto.fi). However, we hope that you will not cancel your earlier registration before the plans for the 2021 conference will have been finalised.

  • Rates for student delegates (master’s or doctoral) are available for students who prove their full-time student status by sending a signed letter from their supervisor or study administration to srae2021@aalto.fi

**Membership in the Society for Risk Analysis – Europe (SRA-E)

SRA – Europe is a regional organization of SRA. It shares a commom purpose with SRA, emphasising the European dimension in the promotion of interdisciplinary research and education, and in practical application in society, industry, businesses and the government. SRA-Europe provides a platform for academics and practitioners, policy makers, NGOs members, industry and business administrators and other stakeholders, to discuss future directions, to understand concerns about risk from both public and scientific perspectives, to promote efficient risk mitigation and to develop effective communication about hazards.

**All annual conference registration fees for non-members include a complimentary offer of the SRA-E membership valid for that year.

Cancellations

Cancellations of registration should be communicated by email to the conference secretary. For cancellations made before May 15, 100 % of the fee will be refunded. For cancellations made between May 16 and June 1, 50 % of the fee will be refunded. No fees will be refunded for cancellations made after June 1.
A processing fee of €50 will be deducted from all refunds. Reimbursement will not be given for late arrival, unused services, unattended events, or early departure from the conference. The registered participant can be replaced by another person on or before June 12 for an extra charge of € 50.

The conference organizer cannot be held liable by delegates for any damages, costs or losses (e.g. travel and accommodation costs or any other financial losses) incurred in the event that the conference is cancelled or is postponed due to events beyond the control of the conference organizer (force majeure) or due to events, which are not caused wilfully or by gross negligence of the conference organizer. Force majeure means an event, which prevents organizing the conference at the time specified or renders it unreasonably difficult. Such events include (but are not limited to) war, insurrection, natural disaster, epidemics, interruption in the general energy supply, fire, strike, embargo, material restriction imposed by the State or other equally significant and uncommon reason beyond the conference organizer’s control.
