Seaside Dinner with a Dash of Magic
Uunisaari – Ugnsholmen

After the first conference day we will unplug from the buzz of the campus and enjoy a relaxed conference dinner at the charming island Uunisaari – Ugnsholmen. A private boat will take us for a one hour cruise along seaside Espoo & Helsinki towards Uunisaari. Our conference assistants will guide you from the conference venue to the starting point of the pier.

PRELIMINARY AGENDA

17:50 Gathering in conference venue ground floor lobby and 10-15 min walk together with organizers to departure dock (next to Hotel Radisson SAS Espoo, Otaniemi) from conference venue

18:15- 19:15 private cruise from Otaniemi to Uunisaari island.

19:30 Welcome drinkin VERNISSA (redbrick building)
20:00 Dinner with a dash of MAGIC
22:30 Shuttle boat departures back to mainland, bus transport to city centre and/or conference hotels.

As we are close to midsummer it will not get dark before departure back to the mainland. Comfortable shoes are recommended, a sweater/jacket  maybe needed as Finnish summer evenings can be cool!

The shuttle boat hops between the mainland and Uunisaari (also to Liuskasaari). – let the captain know that you are with the NCDE group, just mention AALTO UNIVERSITY!

Cruise & dinner ticket for an accompanying person is 85 EUR – the payment is to be made throug the registration form by May 24, 2023 .
