Aalto Science Institute (AScI)
The Aalto Science Institute (AScI) is a strategic initiative hosted by the Aalto University School of Science to advance and foster international collaboration and research at the highest level across the fields of science. The key dimensions of the AScI initiative are quality, internationalisation, and collaboration. AScI supports the renewal of research excellence in Aalto by providing a platform and instruments for exploring new interdisciplinary research directions with breakthrough potential.
Aalto Brain Centre
Aalto Brain Centre (ABC) is a strategic initiative within the Aalto University School of Science. ABC relies on the strong expertise of the school’s research teams in systems neuroscience, neurotechnology, signal analysis, machine learning, network analysis, brain imaging, psychology, cognitive science, clinical neuroscience, naturalistic neuroscience, physics, and engineering.
The company was founded in 1997 and its first product was developing a 32 channel EEG device which was completed and sold in 1998. In the following years additional products for neurology and psychiatry have been developed including EMG, PSG and TMS devices. The initial sales were to the Czech Republic but soon thereafter were offered in international markets. Due to the high level of innovation and modern design of the products, Deymed has become an established worldwide leader in neurology and psychiatry for both clinical and research applications.
