CEO Joni Johntakanen, who studies Information and Service Management at Aalto University, introduces Startuplifers about its mission, programs and major events.

Startuplifers supports students and graduates in Finland or Sweden to “outgrow their potentials” by expanding their experience in the hotbed of startups. The process of getting a job in the San Francisco Bay Area has four steps stated clearly on the website. First of all, check the open positions,  pick one or more to submit a brief application. Secondly, Startuplifers recruiters conduct an initiative interview with those who are good match. Thirdly, an interview with the company with supports and resources from Startuplifers. Finally, you got the job. Visa, flight tickets and legal issues will be taken care for you. The whole process takes about 6 months. Alternatively, students or graduates can find the jobs by themselves, the costs will be covered by Startuplifers.

No Cost At All. All services provided by Startuplifers are free of charge. Visa and flight ticket are also paid by Startuplifers.

To support the talents in the job hunting process, Startuplifers also provides an training program called Passport every year to help applicants learn the basics of startup job hunting skills and get you prepared to land a great job in Silicon Valley.

Every year, Startuplifers sends about 30 students to San Francisco. Starting from 2011, Startuplifers has already sent over 250 students and graduates to gain great experience in startups in the San Francisco Bay Area.
