Virtual conference practicalities

Zoom logistics

The conference will take place in a single Zoom meeting (bit.ly/cd2020_zoom, Meeting ID: 614 1367 7369) with breakout rooms for the sessions. The passcode has been sent to registered participants. If you are experiencing problems at any time, send an email to cd2020@aalto.fi. We encourage presenters to log in well in advance of their session to make sure that they are able to solve any problems that may arise.

Parallel session practicalities

Presenter responsibilities

Each presenter has a 30-minute slot for their paper. This is inclusive of an oral presentation (15 minutes), a Q&A following the presentation (10 minutes), and a transition to the next presentation (5 minutes). Presenters will share their slides via Zoom’s share screen functionality.

Session chair/discussant responsibilities

The parallel sessions are lead by a one person who will serve as both session chair and discussant. The session chair role entails making sure that the session proceeds according to schedule and moderating the Q&A following the presentations. The purpose of having an assigned discussant is to ensure that all authors receive high-quality feedback on their papers. The discussant can adjust their level of participation in the discussion depending on the situation.

Technical support

An assistant will be available in the parallel session rooms. The assistant will provide assistance in any technical problems that may arise during the sessions.

Paper availability

Papers will be made available for registered participants from May 26th through June 30.
