We offer to you:
- Interesting tasks within projects related to hydrodeoxygenation (HDO) of lignocellulosic materials or aqueous phase reforming to produce hydrogen from biorefinery related wastewater
- Your daily tasks would include operating catalytic reactors, catalysts preparation and characterization using modern techniques, and analyzing samples
- International working environment with a positive attitude
We expect from you:
- Bachelor level degree from Chemical Engineering or other relevant field
- Basic laboratory skills
- Fluency in English
- Previous experience from operating catalytic reactions or catalysts preparation and characterization are beneficial but not obligatory
Aalto University School of Chemical Engineering responds to current environmental challenges. We are ambitious to develop better catalysts for new solutions to fight against climate change by producing second generation biofuels or reducing the operating costs of an industrial process. We also try to discover the mechanisms of chemical reactions and the role of heterogeneous catalysts in that.
Please, submit your CV, study record and motivation letter by 15.3.2018 via e-mail to the address of catalysis <at> aalto.fi with a topic ‘Catalysis summer trainee 2018 + your name’. The working period will be individually negotiated, and will typically be 3-4 months.
All applicants will be informed after the positions have been fulfilled.
