Subject: To Part 2 presenters, NovemberNetworkingALD
Dear presenter at NovemberNetworkingALD,
Thank you for registering with a presentation in Part 2 of 2020 November Networking – ALD at Aalto University.
All of Part 2 (actual event and the practice sessions) will use the same recurring Zoom link: <>. Full invitation at the end of this email.
We will arrange practice sessions for all speakers, to test the connections in advance.
Speaker test session: Monday 23.11. at 13-14.
- Feel free to join and test your voice and screen sharing.
Online poster test session: Monday 23.11. at 14-15
- Here, we will test the Zoom breakout room. Poster presenters can test how their Zoom room works, and how to move in and out from Zoom rooms.
- Note: An optional template for the online posters is available via the event website. One is also free to design one’s own online poster concept. The provided template has a four-slide format, which has been copied (with permission, of course) from the files of the recent Photonics Online Meetup (POM), http://photonicsonlinemeetup.org/resources/ (event report: Nature Reviews Materials 5 (2020) 253–256; https://www.nature.com/articles/s41578-020-0194-0). This template has an aspect ratio designed to work well if one would like to share the poster in Twitter (interesting examples here). We think that the four-slide format can be good for Zoom breakout room based online posters as well.
If you wish for participants to be able to observe your poster also when you are not in your breakout room sharing your screen, you may choose to share your poster. This will be done via a folder, a link to which will be shared with all participants of Part 2 networking. More on this to come later.
Best regards,
Riikka Puurunen & the organizing team
