Niina Torikka completed her exchange (Faculdade de agronomia e engenharia florestal) and her experiences from this visit encourage us all to keep on working together and generating new ideas. For example, she did a report on illegal logging in Mozambique as a part of the Restoration of Degraded Ecosystems course. Previously, she has also done volunteer work in Swaziland.<\/p>\n

Potential new areas of future collaboration within the HEI ICI and NSS network framework could be thesis work projects involving guidance, topics and funding from both countries.<\/p>\n

Another interesting link between the two countries was the delivery of axle seals for the over 17 years old Valmet 355 tractor to the Centro Agroflorestal de Machipanda (CEFLOMA, U.E.M. Machipanda – Manica). The parts were sponsored by Valtra from Finland (AGCOcorp).<\/p>\n
