Exercise in mapping GBIF data

I know it is a bit pathetic to advertise your doings elsewhere. Still, because this is my last working week before a longish holiday during which I might encounter one or two of the data items in question, I’ll let the feeling pass and link to my private blog posting from yesterday. It is about mapping rainforest tree species with Scraper, the R rgbif package from rOpenSci, googleVis, GeoJSON, and Shiny. The data comes from Rainforest Foundation Norway and Global Biodiversity Information Facility (GBIF)
