The paper starts with a problem that the designer does not receive enough feedback from the users along the product life cycle. Users in this case means people involved in the design process. The authors wish to address the challenge by using virtual engineering in a way that would help lik the user feedback, design process and virtual engineering. Simulation games with process mapping were used describe the information flow in the design process. The goal was to create a simulation model that would include all the relevant data and it would be stored in PLM system. The mapped process also worked as communication media even if virtual environments were not used.
