Welcome to the\u00a020th<\/sup> Nordic Conference in Development Economics which will be held\u00a0in
\nHelsinki, Finland on June 15-16, 2022. This yearly conference serves as a meeting point for
\ndevelopment economists active in the Nordic countries, but is also targeted more generally to academic researchers in Europe and beyond with a special aim to provide an arena for junior scholars to present their work.<\/p>\n

Keynote lectures will be given by Professor Karen Macours from Paris School of Economics and Professor Leonard Wantchekon of Princeton University.<\/p>\n

This year, the conference will be jointly hosted by Aalto University<\/a>, the University of Helsinki<\/a>, and the Helsinki Graduate School of Economics<\/a>, and in collaboration with UNU-WIDER<\/a> and the\u00a0Labour<\/span> Institute<\/span> for Economic Research LABORE<\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n
