Here are some things to check when you have trouble accessing our e-resources:
1) Should we have access to the resource? Check if the resource can be found in Nelli; use the Find e-journal search box for journals and the Find Database search box for all other resources. If the resource is not found, we have not bought access to the resource. You can make an acquisition suggestion (all types of resource) or an interlibrary loan request (books and journals). If a journal is found, click on the title and check the access years from the SFX linking window. If you have no access to the years mentioned in the SFX window, contact me at email@example.com. If a database is found you can follow its link to the platform. If you can not access the resource from the Nelli link, contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
2) Are you accessing the material remotely? If so, make sure you are going to the resource through Nelli, so you will be asked to log-in with your Aalto username and password. This way you are accessing the resource through our proxy and will be given access. It is not possible to use materials directly from the publisher platforms without signing in to Nelli (or the proxy) first. When in the resource check that the url includes libproxy.aalto.fi (eg. http://www-scopus-com.libproxy.aalto.fi/). If you still can not access the resource contact me at email@example.com.
