Week 48
I did not watch the lecture this week and there was no exercise session to participate to. The excursions/laboratory visits are really interesting part of the course, I wish there would be more of them.
I focused my attention to exercise 4 as the deadline is approaching. The second task was quite interesting. I think it would be interesting to discuss with others what kind of experiments they were thinking of and to see what kind of studies have been performed in the past at ANI. I suppose the last tasks (3.1 and 3.2) are an example of that. I was surprised to learn that auditory pathway is so much faster than visual pathway in the brain, but when I started researching the reasons it sounded obvious. Visual information seems so much more important that it would be logical for it be the fastest. Nevertheless, this gives rise to a new question: how about other senses? What are the reaction times between all senses?
I was somewhat familiar with EEG from another course I have currently, but it was nice to a real experiment performed here at Aalto with it.
