Week 9
This week the subject aborted was about the wiring of the brain. It’s really nice to read before the lecture about the subject and can understand better and complement that with the lectures and see more exemples. But, this week was a little more complicated for me to understand everything at first, although the book explained very well and the classes were an excellent complement.
With the lectures, reading the book and some research I understand the wiring of the brain consists of axons, that is extensions of neurons that make connections with other neurons.The exemple the teacher gave us in the lecture was about, from retina to visual cortex that is the visual system. Therefore the optic nerves happen to the cortical layers. The other part I really enjoyed understanding more was about formation of CNS synapses, it happens in the central nervous system.
