Three modest places of worship

Churches don’t always have to be full scale cathedrals to fulfil their function. Here’s three unpretentious places of worship.

1. Kallion adventtiseurakunta, Helsinki
Sure, it may have a bicycle shelter vibe about it, and yes, it’s overshadowed by a block of flats. Still does the job though. And could probably actually be used as a bicycle shelter if the church was ever to move.

Christ Royal Int’l Church, London
This one’s definitely not a looker. I do hope they have some kind of skylights though, otherways it must be awfully dark inside.

3. Lutherin kirkko, Turku
Isn’t it a nice thought that the same building that houses the church could actually house the whole congregation? What if it does?
