Proposals for WDC Helsinki 2012 Programme

Everyone at Aalto can join to propose programme for the World Design Capital Year! The search will run until 11th February 2011.

WDC coordinator at Aalto, Kaisa Kivelä, will collect all proposals for programmes made by Aalto University staff and students, and introduce them to the project steering group at Aalto University. Proposals for programme are to be done according to guidelines by the International Design Foundation, and are to be send to Kivelä. Proposal can be allready on-going project or existing happening, or brand new idea.

The foundation administering the WDC Helsinki 2012 project has only just begun tackling its assignment, and the project is quite evidently looking to have an impact that goes well beyond 2012. The aim is to achieve a comprehensive improvement in quality of life by extending design thinking more broadly into society and the human habitat. Sustainable development and user-friendliness will be key factors.
